Deveo Oy (hereinafter “Deveo” or “we”) collects personal data in a number of ways when you visit our site or use our service. For example, you provide us with personal data when you register for an account or contact us by email. Deveo automatically receives and records data from your browser, including your IP address and cookies. The personal data collected is used for billing, identification, authentication, service improvement, research, and contact. The lawful basis for processing your personal data is either the necessity due to the contractual relationship between us or the necessity for operating our business (i.e. our legitimate interest, e.g. for purposes of contacting you or for purposes of preventing or investigating malpractices of our site, services or products).
Deveo does not have any special legislative requirements to cooperate with authorities. Therefore, Deveo does not make confidential information available to authorities or any other external entity without a court order or unless specified above.
Deveo also retains the right to disclose your personal data to Deveo affiliated companies, which are companies belonging to the same group of companies with Deveo, when such disclosure is required for the provisions of services.
In cooperation together with subcontractors, Deveo will require the subcontractors to have similar and at least as comprehensive security policies as Deveo does. Such subcontractors act as data processors to your personal data and do not have the permission to process your data for any purposes except for the purposes of providing the agreed services. In such cases, Deveo remains the sole controller of the personal data transferred to its subcontractors. All confidential material will be stored in servers and premises managed by Deveo or its affiliated company or by the Customer in Customer- managed servers and premises.
In case of future mergers or acquisitions, the acquiring entity may, through universal succession, obtain access to your personal data.
Deveo ensures that all source code, files, and data that are stored by Deveo remain private and confidential. The Customer will ensure the security of the source code, files, and data that is stored in Customer-managed servers and premises. Due to the sensitive nature of source code, we take this very seriously and make it our primary concern for all customers.
Although Deveo owns the code, databases, and all rights to the Deveo application, you retain all rights to your data. When you use the messaging or file upload features of Deveo, the data you submit is retained on the servers of our third-party service provider. Deveo does not access or use this data for any purpose other than for providing the service, but you should be aware that these files are not encrypted and they could be disclosed in legal proceedings or investigations.
Deveo restricts access to personal information only to authorized personnel, contractors and agents who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our service. These individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations and may be subject to discipline, including termination and criminal prosecution, if they fail to meet these obligations.
Even though the software has automated tests for every feature, for any problems concerning payments or billing, a warning email is sent to our administrators to quickly track down all the possible concerns. All traffic is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) or other encrypted tunnels.
You have the right to access your personal data or to have any inaccurate data about you rectified or completed. You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data at any time and we have the obligation to delete your personal data if it is not our legitimate interest or our legal obligation to retain your personal data or some of it. Where the processing of personal data is based on our legitimate interest, you also have the right to object to such processing at any time by contacting us. Lastly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
